Aryal Technologies

Modern Slavery Statement

Our commitment

Aryal Technologies is a Canberra based software and AI agency. We believe everyone has the right to safe, fair and freely chosen work, and we want to be sure our business never contributes to modern slavery in any form.

We are below the revenue threshold that requires a statement under the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth). We publish this one voluntarily because we work with government, healthcare and community organisations that expect it, and because it is simply the right thing to do.

Our business

We are a small team of seven people. We design and build custom digital platforms, websites and AI solutions for Australian organisations. Our key personnel are Australian citizens working from Canberra and Melbourne, and the team works remotely, meeting clients at our Canberra office for kickoff and discovery sessions.

Our supply chain

Our supply chain is simple and mostly digital. It includes:

  • Cloud hosting and data centre providers, all located in Australia
  • Software and subscription tools
  • Specialist delivery partners and contractors
  • Laptops, devices and hardware, including the equipment behind our on premises AI systems
  • Professional services such as accounting, insurance and legal

Where the risks sit

We see our overall risk as low, because we are a services business with a small number of suppliers. We do not pretend it is zero. The areas we watch most closely are electronic hardware, where manufacturing supply chains can carry forced labour risks, and any work we outsource to contractors or delivery partners.

What we do about it

  • We pay our people and contractors fairly and on time, and we only engage people who have the right to work.
  • We choose established suppliers, and we prefer providers that publish their own modern slavery or ethical sourcing commitments.
  • We ask new contractors and delivery partners to confirm they share our expectations on fair work.
  • We buy hardware from reputable vendors and keep devices in service as long as we reasonably can.
  • We keep our team small and close, so concerns are easy to raise and hard to miss.

Raising a concern

If you believe something in our business or supply chain involves modern slavery, please tell us at hello@aryal.com.au. We will take every concern seriously and look into it promptly. You can also contact the Australian Federal Police or Anti-Slavery Australia for support.
